An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Engineering Department of a leading food and beverage manufacturing company based in Killarney Gardens. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Technician to join their maintenance team and ensure optimal performance of all plant equipment and assets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, performing and controlling the maintenance function within the designated plant. This includes preventative maintenance, breakdown resolution, root cause failure analysis, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will be expected to carry out daily preventative maintenance schedules, manage and complete both planned and unplanned work orders, and conduct root cause failure analyses on reoccurring equipment failures.
  • They will also be required to maintain critical spares lists, support housekeeping and GMP standards, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team processes.
  • Health and safety will be a primary focus, with the incumbent expected to identify risks, investigate incidents and drive corrective action within their area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will hold an N3 Level with a completed trade test in either Electrical or Fitter/Fitter and Turner.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred to ensure full competence in the role.
  • Strong technical knowledge in engineering science, electrical systems, and production processes is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
