Could you be the Team Leader (Rolling Stock) Bombela Maintenance is looking for?

This roles will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.

The main purpose of this position is to ensure safe, reliable and available trains as per customer requirements, primarily through preventative maintenance and repairs.

YOUR ROLE
  • Ensure execution of preventative and corrective maintenance in a timely manner to meet all performance targets.
  • Work shifts over a 7 day week
  • Conduct incident management including investigation and restoration within the shortest possible time to ensure availability and reliability
  • Effective teamwork and self-management
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • National Diploma in Engineering: Electrical. ECSA registration as Engineering Technician
  • 5 years experience in rolling stock maintenance and two years in supervisory role
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Advanced pneumatics
  • Reading of drawings and schematics (electrical, pneumatic & mechanical)
  • Mechanical and Electrical repairs
  • Follow corrective maintenance procedures and instructions
  • Accurate fault reporting
  • OHS Act and relevant regulations
  • Knowledge of Maximo/SAP
  • Sound knowledge of transport systems
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Systems and Processes
  • Should be able to see in color
  • South African citizen
