Job Description
  • Front-Line Tax Support: Responding to incoming user queries via our helpdesk. These range from simple system navigation questions ("Where do I click?") to more complex tax treatment questions.
  • Manual Interventions: Taking over where the automation ends. This involves manually reviewing and/or filing returns that are too complex for the system or fixing data issues for users.
  • SARS Admin & Disputes: Handling the often administrative and frustrating side of tax-following up on verifications, managing the audit process, and filing disputes.
  • User Guidance: patiently walking users through the tax process. You will often deal with people who are stressed or confused, so a calm, helpful demeanor is essential.
  • System Feedback: identifying when a user's issue is actually a system bug or a logic error and reporting it to the technical team.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree or Diploma with Tax as a core subject.
  • Must be a currently Registered Tax Practitioner with SARS.
  • At least 2 years working in a tax compliance role.
  • Must have hands-on experience directly filing Individual Tax Returns (ITR12) and Provisional Tax Returns (IRP6).
  • Thorough knowledge of SARS eFiling and the ability to navigate its quirks.
  • Tech Proficiency: High computer literacy is essential.
