About the Role

The Supply Chain Manager is based in South Africa and is responsible for managing day to day supply chain and logistics operations in support of the South Africa organization. This role oversees warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and trade compliance to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and reliable service levels. The Supply Chain Manager partners closely with cross functional teams, including Sales, Customer Support, Finance, and global supply chain counterparts, to align logistics execution with business priorities and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Logistics & Operations Management
  • Manage warehousing and inventory operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Oversee air, sea, and ground transportation to support on time delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate import/export, customs, and trade compliance activities in alignment with local and global requirements.
  • Support and improve reverse logistics processes, including returns and asset recovery.
  • Manage relationships with third party logistics providers and support local and regional operations.
Customer & Commercial Alignment
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Support, and internal teams to support customer commitments.
  • Ensure logistics execution aligns with service level expectations.
  • Support customer focused logistics solutions that prioritize reliability and responsiveness.
Operational Excellence
  • Track, monitor, and report on logistics KPIs to support operational visibility.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across supply chain operations.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
Systems, Tools & Analytics
  • Utilize ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support accurate execution and reporting.
  • Leverage Excel and reporting tools for forecasting, planning, and performance analysis.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead, coach, and support supply chain and logistics team members.
  • Promote accountability, ownership, and collaboration within the team.
  • Collaborate with global supply chain counterparts to align processes and best practices.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain managerial roles.
  • Experience supporting operations within South Africa; regional or multinational exposure preferred.
  • Working knowledge of import/export regulations, customs compliance, and transportation networks.
  • Hands on experience with ERP and WMS systems.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
