Job Description

Job Purpose

A Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations during a specific shift at a workplace. Their job purpose typically includes the following key responsibilities. They manage and oversee the work of employees during their shift, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes assigning duties, providing guidance, and monitoring performance. This position will be based in Stellenbosch (Aan De Wijnlanden).

Minimum Requirements
  • Psira Registered (Grade A)
  • Grade 12
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Supervisory qualification would be advantageous.
  • Verbal in Afrikaans and written skills in English.
  • Resides in the Northern areas (Eersteriver, Macassar, Kuilsriver)
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic software such as Word and Excel.
  • Work well within a team
  • Leadership and Conflict management skills
  • Good Physical condition
  • No Criminal record
  • Good health
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily schedules, employee shifts and time-off requests.
  • Assign duties to employees and oversee their progress.
  • Train and integrate new workers
  • Provide guidance and feedback to employees when needed.
  • Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed.
  • Handle employee complaints
  • Resolve conflicts between employees.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
  • The supervision of security officers and guards.
  • Attend meetings with client and Operations Manager to determine operational needs.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches.
  • Investigate and resolve issues.
  • Create reports for management on security status.
  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology.)
