Job Description
Are you organised, detail-oriented and take pride in maintaining accurate stock and well-run storerooms? Join our Procurement team as a Storeman in Potchefstroom, where you'll play a key role in ensuring stock accuracy, efficient handling of goods and adherence to storage standards.
The key purpose of this role is to manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring storerooms are kept in line with company standards and SOPs.
What you'll do- Monitor inventory levels and identify stock requirements based on usage trends and operational needs
- Receive deliveries and verify packing slips, delivery notes and invoices for accuracy
- Ensure quantities received match documentation and report any discrepancies
- Pack and unpack stock, ensuring items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner
- Maintain clean, organised and compliant storerooms in line with SOPs
- Keep records of obsolete, redundant and defective equipment
- Monitor and manage CPE equipment removed from client premises
- Coordinate and manage collections and deliveries
- Support the Stock Controller or Line Manager with ad hoc tasks as required
- Grade 12
- Previous warehouse or stock management experience (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organisational skills
- Good time management skills
