You will lead an in-store team to create amazing retail experiences that reflect Scotch & Soda's free-spirited Amsterdam heritage. You will also focus on boosting sales, optimizing operations, and developing your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
- Drive store performance aligned with brand values and commercial goals.
- Implement local marketing initiatives to build brand awareness.
- Analyze sales data and weekly reports to identify opportunities and optimize performance.
- Create an environment that embodies our brand's unique perspective.
- Set and execute sales performance goals to increase profitability.
- Drive and manage monthly sales towards personal and store targets.
Operations & Team Management
- Lead and inspire a team of creative Sales Stylists.
- Oversee daily store operations and administrative responsibilities.
- Manage stock, store operations, and loss prevention.
- Actively involved in receiving new product deliveries into the store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Schedule staff effectively to meet customer demand.
- Manage store staff wellness, motivation, and daily attendance.
- Create monthly staff rosters.
- Manage daily store expenses effectively.
- Conduct daily cash-ups and ensure point-of-sale processes run smoothly.
- Prepare weekly KPI reports and present findings to the Regional Manager.
- Lead and conduct regular stock takes.
- Roll out new operational initiatives from head office.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure the store environment tells our brand story.
- Maintain outstanding store conditions and presentation standards.
- Create a shopping experience that reflects Amsterdam's free spirit.
Customer & Community Relations
- Build meaningful relationships with key clients.
- Establish the store's presence in the local community.
- Resolve customer concerns with style and grace.
- Provide a personalized customer experience.
- Manage customer database and tools to strengthen positive customer relationships.
Team Development
- Recruit talent that aligns with our brand values.
- Train team members on product knowledge, including fabrics, wash care instructions, and pricing.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Identify and develop future leaders within your team.
- 4-5 years of retail management experience.
- Age 27-35 preferred.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Commercial acumen and business focus.
- Creative approach to retail experiences.
- Passion for fashion and brand storytelling.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Ability to balance creative vision with operational excellence.
Compensation
- Competitive Salary Range: R20,000 - R30,000 base per month
