Specialist: Process Engineering - (ENG-059)

Description

Key responsibilities/main job outputs:

  • Detailed Process design of water and wastewater treatment
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to team
  • Business development activities including presenting to existing and potential clients
  • Process, audit, and feasibility studies
  • Conducting process modification evaluations and sizing of plant equipment
  • PIDs and PFDs
  • Cold and hot commissioning of new plants
  • Comprehensive process evaluation- to evaluate the performance of the process against the intended/design performance.
  • Conducting HAZOP studies
  • Tender documentation preparation and review
  • Preparing design deliverables including design reports, models, BOQs, drawings etc.
  • Work closely with multiple disciplines ensuring integration of systems and spatial coordination is achieved
  • Using company standard collaboration and coordination tools such as BIM360, Revizto, and Asite
  • Working on international projects and getting to know and applying the relevant country and project specific standards
  • Provide guidance to graduate engineers and technicians on engineering design and software usage
  • Automation of daily workflows are welcomed and encouraged
Job Requirements Minimum required qualification
  • Eng/B.Sc. Chemical Engineering with minimum of 7 years' experience in the relevant field
  • Process engineering competency in water technology and resources
  • Professional registration with ECSA is preferred, however the candidate must be registerable with ECSA within 1 year of joining if not professionally registered at time of joining
Minimum experience, knowledge & skills
  • Computational design thinking
  • Experience with process design, equipment sizing and systems selections
  • Experience with process design of water and wastewater treatment plant
  • Experience with leading water/ wastewater treatment technologies (MBR, UF, RO) is advantageous
  • Basic understanding of Process Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Strong multi-disciplinary coordination skills
  • Basic knowledge of pump station design will advantageous.
  • BIM implementation - Creating/using BEPs and TIDPs with applying CDE principals
  • Experience in the following software and applications:
    • AutoCad P&ID
    • Experience in using BioWin will be advantageous
    • Using BIM360, ACC or similar as a collaboration platform
    • Workflow automation experience with software such as Dynamo or/and scripting using C#,Python or other programming language.
    • Competence in using MS Office packages including Word and Excel essential.
    • Competence in using PowerBI or similar packages is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of GIS packages and integration is advantageous
