Sound/Audio Engineer - Freelance

Join Our Team as a Freelance Sound/Audio Engineer!

Are you passionate about sound and obsessed with getting every detail just right? We're looking for talented, enthusiastic Audio Engineers to bring projects to life in a fast-paced studio environment.

From TV series and films to e-learning and audiobooks, you'll play a key role in capturing high quality audio across a variety of exciting productions.

This is a freelance role based on project availability, with work conducted on site at our studio in Airport City, Cape Town, during operational hours (8:00 am to 7:00 pm).

• A sharp ear and strong technical audio skills
• Ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (additional languages are a big plus!)

Step into a dynamic studio environment where your expertise will shape high quality audio for global audiences. As an Audio Engineer, you will:

• Lead and record dubbing sessions, ensuring seamless, high quality output
• Direct and collaborate with voice artists to deliver authentic, consistent performances
• Maintain clean audio, precise sync, and broadcast ready standards (R128)
• Manage studio recording sessions end to end
• Uphold quality, efficiency, and project workflows using internal systems
• Perform audio post production

• Qualification in Sound Engineering (Diploma/Degree minimum)
• Hands on experience in post production, sound design, and mixing
• Proficiency in DAWs (especially Pro Tools) and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of post production workflows and broadcast standards
