To support the tactical strategy and associated delivery plans related to a single practice area, ensuring practice integration and operational implementation through the achievement of capability objectives. To contribute to the establishment of an enterprise-wide, cross functional finance capability, as a world class service provider to FirstRand. Conceptualise and provide input into solution designs for the capability. Analyse, understand and assess documented business strategies based on industry SME and organisation knowledge and experience. Contribute to defining the strategy, architecture and operating model for the finance capability as part of Prescient. Identify and solution opportunities to optimise Group Finance reporting processes, including continuous improvement of the financial close. Define guidance, frameworks, policies, data products, reporting outputs, financial close process etc to support the establishment of the capability. Responsible for operationalising elements of the capability in the platform business for BAU. Change advocate for finance users, significantly contributing to managing stakeholder expectations and relaying the project delivery and outcomes. Partner with various programme roles, including solution architects, business analysts and business SMEs. Critically assess user requirements and apply SME knowledge accordingly. Analyse data processes, products, business and behaviour related to users. Maintain control standards to ensure requests do not breach control principles. Apply SME knowledge and perspective to project discussions and perform a critical assessment accordingly. Provide input into projects and initiatives that enable business strategies from the point at which it impacts finance. Perform risk and impact assessments to understand mitigation techniques. Generate where applicable business case or business requirement specification, BRS, with sufficient awareness of business strategy and project deliverables. Review business case or BRS for additional insight into the project as well as for evidence of the strategy. Present business case or BRS at various forums. Give input into the development and testing of solutions pre-implementation and re-advise if necessary. Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise, influence, and negotiate to achieve outcomes. Set aside personal agenda for the greater good. Initiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress manage expectations and ensure stakeholders requirements are delivered. Preserve relationships despite airing conflicting views and seek mutual gains when addressing conflicts. Share debate and communicate learnings. Anticipate consequences and adapt problem solving based on continual feedback, cognisant of situations and organisational realities. Act speedily to resolve problems queries and complaints in an efficient manner. Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of different audiences and customers. Engage with relevant stakeholders on a regular basis for support and professional guidance on implemented solutions. Demonstrate pride in the organisations brand services and products by consistently delivering on the brands promise. Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained. Stay relevant and up to date with legislations and new developments.
