What you will be doing:
  • Write, test, and deploy code to production independently.
  • Review team code and provide valuable improvements.
  • Create/execute unit test plans and investigate/resolve defects.
  • Participate in specification reviews and monitor services/systems within the infrastructure.
  • Work to enhance architecture, code design, system performance, scalability, and security.
What our client is looking for:
  • A relevant tertiary degree would be beneficial (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • 6 months to 2 years in professional software development.
  • Proficiency in Python or PHP, along with Django or Laravel, and Web Fundamentals.
  • Proven knowledge of at least one Object-Oriented (OO) programming language.
  • Understanding of networking, databases, data structures, algorithms, cloud computing, security, code design, distributed systems, and testing.
  • Understanding of coding best practices, system scalability, security, and performance tuning.
  • Bonus points for JavaScript frameworks, MySQL, BigQuery, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and e-commerce experience.
