Job Purpose

The ideal candidate ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality tyre management services in line with OMS and client standards. They provide strong leadership, maintain accurate data and well-managed equipment, and support a compliant, well-trained team. They promote a proactive safety culture, address risks, and drive consistent operational performance.

• Ensure all personnel comply with OMS, client policies, and safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out and emergency requirements).
• Oversee and prioritise tyre fitting, maintenance, and workshop tasks to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality service delivery.
• Maintain accurate data entry and documentation, including tyre/rim records, quality documents, and electronic backups.
• Perform administrative duties such as rosters, leave, overtime, and reporting to Head Office.
• Manage stock and equipment through ordering, auditing, verification, and ensuring calibration/maintenance systems are in place.
• Conduct inspections, assessments, and Job Hazard Analyses, taking corrective actions where required.
• Ensure personnel are properly inducted, trained, competent, and have valid licences, medicals, and certifications.
• Investigate hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions, implementing corrective or preventative actions.
• Promote workplace safety through regular meetings, inspections, and communication of safety information.
• Perform tyre fitter tasks or other allocated duties when required and ensure personal fitness for duty

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
• A valid and appropriate light vehicle driver's license (South African Code 08).
• Related industry field certificates or relevant experience.
• 5 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience

Preferred:

• 3 years of Supervisory experience.
• Experience in the Off the Road Tyre Services industry.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
• Sound understanding of the working mechanism of the tools or the machinery they are handling.
• good supervisory skills and ability to pay attention to the details.
• Strong understanding of mining safety regulations.
