Site Manager
Job Description
Location: Gqeberha / Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
Fidelity Security Group is seeking to appoint a competent and experienced Site Manager to manage a large university security operation in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a high risk academic environment requiring strong leadership, conflict management and operational control skills.
The role requires an individual who understands the dynamics of a university environment, including student engagement, protest action and crowd management.
Minimum RequirementsPSIRA Grade A registered
Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
Minimum 5 years security management experience
Proven experience managing 300 staff members
Experience in tertiary institution / campus / college security environment
Knowledge of student protest and crowd management environments
CCTV and surveillance systems experience
Computer literate (MS Office & reporting systems)
Experience conducting disciplinary hearings
Fluent in English and isiXhosa (additional languages advantageous)
Ability to liaise professionally with client representatives
Supervision of all site staff, including Site Seniors and Supervisors
Ensure full site coverage at all times
Manage posting sheets and deployment planning
Conduct regular day and night site inspections
Manage incidents, accidents and investigations
Ensure compliance with client operational requirements
Provide ongoing reports to client regarding faults, risks and corrective actions
Attend operational and management meetings
Maintain professional stakeholder relationships
Manage absenteeism, leave and replacements
Conduct disciplinary processes and hearings
Manage absconding staff and staffing contingencies
Handle payroll inputs and pay queries
Manage security during student gatherings and protests
Crowd control coordination
Incident escalation and response planning
