Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Shutdown Fitters to join our team for upcoming shutdown projects. This role is ideal for skilled mechanical professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering high-quality maintenance and repair work within strict timelines.
Tasks- Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations during plant shutdowns
- Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble machinery such as pumps, valves, and conveyors
- Replace faulty or worn components to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Conduct inspections and identify potential mechanical issues
- Align and install equipment according to specifications
- Work efficiently to meet tight shutdown deadlines
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Shutdown Fitter
- Relevant trade qualification or certification (e.g., Fitter & Turner or equivalent)
- Previous shutdown experience in mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Physically fit and able to work long hours under pressure
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
