Job Description

Are you an experienced hospitality professional looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? We're looking to appoint Shift Leaders for the upcoming season, so if you have extensive five star hotel skills and experience and a passion for delivering great service hotel-wide, we want to hear from you!

This role supports and assists the supervisory team to complete all tasks during the shift, ensuring that processes and procedures are followed. You'll have a primary department assigned but can expect to be working across multiple areas of the hotel as guest requirements demand.

This is a permanent role and we're recruiting to fill seven positions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Ensuring rooms and public areas are cleaned, maintained and serviced to our established standards.
  • Assisting with breakfast, dinner and bar services in our food and beverage outlets, ensuring guests receive a truly memorable experience.
  • Handling guest check-ins and check-outs, processing reservations, and providing exemplary guest service.
  • Operating guest shuttle and driving company vehicles.
  • Being responsible for the cleaning of food preparation and service handling areas, with an emphasis on impeccable hygiene practices.
  • Training team members in operational tasks, monitoring quality and standards.
  • Assisting with stocktake and ordering.
  • Actively involved with procedures and SOP updates.
  • Assisting the maintenance team with detail cleaning and project work across the hotel.

Skills and experience:
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in at least one of the following areas: Housekeeping, Food and Beverage or Front Office, with at least one year of this experience in a five star hotel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations across one or more of the following departments - housekeeping, kitchen service, food and beverage and front office.
  • Proven training abilities, with a track record of developing and supporting team members.
  • Strong process knowledge and the ability to implement and maintain high standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
  • Full driver licence desirable, with P endorsement beneficial.
  • High level of initiative, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
