Your mission as a Service TechnicianAre you passionate about keeping critical mining operations running at their best? As an Epiroc Service Technician, you'll be the expert on the ground, diagnosing faults, driving root cause solutions, and ensuring AARD equipment operates at peak performance. Beyond the technical work, you'll coach and empower mine teams, build lasting customer partnerships, and collaborate with global engineering teams to shape better products. In a role where uptime is everything, your expertise doesn't just solve problems, it keeps operations safe, productive, and future ready.
What you'll do- Provide specialized technical support on AARD machines, including fault finding, root cause analysis, scheduled servicing, and rectifying issues
- Coach and develop mine employees on machine troubleshooting and repair, while participating in RCA initiatives to identify recurring failures and develop sustainable solutions with the Product Company
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, while marketing and promoting Field Service and Aftermarket services to support business growth
- Liaise with Epiroc Product Company Engineering representatives to further develop products, conduct set tests, and report on results
- Participate in productivity, efficiency improvement projects, and spare parts inquiries, reporting key performance issues back to management
- Ensure the safe storage and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment, working effectively within a team to meet customer requirements
- Willingness to travel, work shifts, and perform under pressure as required in the execution of duties
- Grade 12 with a valid technical N qualification and a Trade qualification (Fitter, Millwright, Earthmoving, Diesel, Electrical)
- Solid understanding and technical knowledge of AARD LHD, UV42 and LPD
- At least 3 years' experience working on AARD equipment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer Literate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work unsupervised at Epiroc standards; Valid driver's license
