We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair laboratory equipment in Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic electronics and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and calibrate laboratory equipment at client sites
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical and electronic components
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment usage
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Manage spare parts inventory and tools effectively
  • Travel to client sites as required
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years' experience in servicing technical or laboratory equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electronic circuits, fault finding, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Advantageous
  • Experience with laboratory, medical, or scientific equipment
  • Exposure to calibration and validation processes
  • Customer-facing/service experience
