Normet has a broad underground offering: Equipment for concrete spraying and transport, explosives charging, scaling, lifting, installation works and logistics. Construction chemicals for sprayed concrete, admixtures for all types of concrete, injection systems for rock improvement, reinforcement systems for high deformation conditions, spray applied waterproofing systems and needed chemicals for TBM technology covering hard rock, EPB, open face and slurry type machines. The new generation energy absorbing rock bolting system; the D-Bolt system specially designed for efficient and reliable rock reinforcement, in both squeezing and burst-prone strata conditions. Normet has delivered more than 10,000 built-for-purpose underground machines which are serviced and supported with Normet Services. Normet is a Finnish company that operates globally with over 44 locations in 28 countries worldwide We are looking for a technician We are in need of a service technician to conduct services, repairs, commissioning and technical training on mining machines in Africa.Normet is known for its entrepreneurial spirit, agile and fast decision making and results-driven business culture, we offer our employees opportunity to excel and develop.We are now strengthening our organization with Aftermarket Service for our customers. In this position you will be part of our Service Team located in Jetpark, Johannesburg, South Africa.You will be part of the Normet Africa team that will take care of the aftermarket services, repairs, training and commissioning of Normet products. In this position you will also have the opportunity to participate in improvement on all old and new products, working with our technical support team located in Finland. You will work both independently and in collaboration with the rest of the service team, production and sales departments. Qualifications and experience Grade 12 Trade certificate English literate Computer literate Microsoft Excel; Word and Power Point literate. Three-year Experience on mining (surface and/or) underground machinery. Experience on Hydraulics; Auto Electrical and Control Systems. Training certification preferable: Facilitation, Assessor or even Moderator. A person with underground spraying experience will be advantageous. As a person, we expect you to : Have the right attitude to develop machines for harsh environments. Be capable both in individual and teamwork environments. Have a can-do and results-driven attitude. Be willing to take responsibility. Be capable of working with people from different cultures. Have a valid driver's license. Health fitness certificate to work underground.
