Job Description

CSIT develops products to advance the national security interests of Singapore. We use our products in a wide range of use-cases, including but not limited to Counter-terrorism and Computer Network Defence. We are looking for talented software engineers to lead and build mission critical products that identify, analyse and investigate threats.

Role

As a senior software engineer in a multi disciplinary team that is responsible for mission critical data analytics systems, you will guide and contribute to the development of critical solutions related to national security. You are expected to possess strong technical proficiency and create impact by designing, building, testing and deploying data intensive web based analytics applications that are scalable, extensible and maintainable. Responsibilities
  • Design and develop internal flagship data analytics systems, applications and APIs that allow engineers and analysts to retrieve, triage and analyse information more efficiently
  • Work with product managers, engineering managers and key stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that meet our business needs
  • Manage enterprise system performance, reliability and sustainability through software quality control and optimisation of software products and technologies
  • Explore emerging technologies and deliver proof of concepts to the team and senior management
  • Build and experiment with Agentic AI systems (e.g. multi step autonomous agents, tool using LLM workflows)
  • Lead technical discussions with the team and key stakeholders to shape the delivery of products
  • Mentor junior software engineers to help strengthen and foster a culture of engineering excellence within the team
Requirements
  • Background in computer science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with familiarity in full stack web application
  • Well versed and proficient in software design pattern and implementation using Java/Kotlin programming language
  • Good knowledge of software architecture designs patterns
  • Familiarity with the following technologies: Spring Boot, React, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Oracle, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka / Rabbit MQ
  • Familiarity with AI assisted development tools and concepts, exposure to agentic AI systems would be a plus
  • Able to communicate technical details effectively and clearly
  • Good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills to get things done in a dynamic environment
