PURPOSE
This role forms part of the Office of the CFO - Finance Operations & Procurement Team. You would be required to provide financial information to ensure that the PayInc group makes well informed decisions for better business performance (profitability and sustainability).

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts (opex & capex), and financial models.
  • Analyse and report on financial performance, operational spend, income, and cash flow.
  • Manage financial operations including ERP, transactions, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Oversee tax, audit, treasury, and compliance-related activities.
  • Review investment decisions and ensure financial policy compliance.
  • Monitor and control project, programme, and operational costs.
  • Implement cost allocation models and ensure effective financial controls.
  • Approve and review financial transactions in line with company policy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery against stakeholder expectations and SLAs.
  • Align team goals with BU strategy and drive performance through regular reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead financial transformation initiatives.
  • Provide financial support to departments for improved decision-making.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and respond to ad hoc financial queries.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust reporting and controls.
  • Lead and manage the Finance Operations team.
  • Mentor and coach team members to drive performance and skill development.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle: recruitment, performance management, development, and retention.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end, year-end, and tax submissions.
  • Oversee reconciliations, cash flow, and documentation of all fiscal activities.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

  • CA(SA) or equivalent.
  • Required computer literacy levels
  • Accpac/Sage (Advanced)
  • IBM Analytics (Basic)
  • CaseWare (Advanced)
  • Excel and Power Point.
  • Required computer literacy levels.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with building automation within the Finance Operations function.
  • Prior experience with implementation of ERP advantages.
