Our client, a leading global professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead their Business Service Learning & Development Practice for a major UK territory. This is a strategic leadership position within a cutting-edge Technology & Innovation Centre, responsible for driving L&D excellence across multiple service lines. You will manage senior stakeholder engagements, lead a diverse team of L&D professionals, and ensure operational excellence in learning and development delivery. The role requires alignment of working hours with UK business hours.

Key Responsibilities Business Leadership
  • Manage daily operational service delivery of a diverse L&D team
  • Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Champion innovation and challenge the status quo
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and openness
  • Support L&D practice growth through new services and headcount expansion
  • Active member of senior management committee
Operational Excellence
  • Manage offshore day-to-day operations including recruitment, allocations, and development
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements aligned to territory expectations
  • Deliver monthly L&D reporting for board and executive committees
  • Ensure compliance with territory requirements and operational standards
Workforce Management
  • Track utilization rates to ensure efficiency and balanced workloads
  • Establish quality measurement frameworks and SOPs
  • Define and track KPIs to measure impact and continuous improvement
  • Build scalable systems positioning the centre as a global L&D delivery benchmark
People & Performance Management
  • Coach and mentor the L&D team
  • Handle performance reviews and employee relations
  • Provide pastoral care and conflict resolution
  • Drive team engagement through regular meetings and check-ins
  • Lead teams through organizational and technological change
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Communicate effectively with varied stakeholders and territory leaders
  • Drive collaborative outcomes and effective team integration
  • Act as escalation point for all service function matters
Governance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in delivery, resourcing, or employee relations
Essential Requirements
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 6 or 7) in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or equivalent
  • 5-8 years' experience leading multi-disciplinary Learning and Development teams in a global delivery environment
  • Proven track record in cultivating stakeholder relationships globally
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing L&D programs and strategies
  • Strong understanding of modern L&D technologies and platforms
  • Several years in a leadership or senior management position overseeing diverse teams
  • Experience in leading organizational change and transformation initiatives
  • Proven ability to work with and advise senior stakeholders, clients, and executives
Advantageous
  • Diploma or Master's degree (NQF Level 8) in Leadership or Business Management (MBA)
  • Professional services or consulting industry experience
  • Experience with offshore or outsourced operations
  • Global and cross-cultural team management experience
