ABOUT THE ROLE Job Purpose

You will be responsible to lead, and execute the continuous improvement strategy for the Bridgestone Brits Manufacturing Plant and to identify, design and improve productionprocesses with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained . Actively engage in operational improvements and develop continuous improvement programs for implementation as to effectively support the goals and objectives of the Brits plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Coach, counsel and train continuous improvement engineers, IE graduates and other support staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Deliver the continuous improvement strategy for Brits Plant, through the Continuous Improvement Engineers.
  • Manage and control all IE related documents (e.g., SOPs, FSTDs etc) to ensure compliance to Management Procedures.
  • Deliver monthly reporting (EU reporting, OEE reporting etc.)
  • Design and execute focused improvement programmes to support the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Lead or conduct studies in cost, productivity, flow, value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and expand capabilities in practical application of continuous improvement tools and methods, mentoring others in leadership of improvement projects.
  • Responsible for targeting completion of process improvement projects for the IE Department within a specified time frame while achieving a cost reduction goal.
  • Using Model of Standard, implement any new practices which delivers value to the operational process
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing, business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation.
  • Analysing production processes, equipment, data, and related information.
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness analysis and optimization.
  • Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Optimizing process flow and First-In-First-Out systems
  • Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
  • Developing design and production standards and standard operating procedures in cooperation with management and user personnel.
  • Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
  • Managing process documentation and preparing production reports
