Senior Inbound Travel Consultant (Luxury African Safari Destination) Durban / Remote

A leading inbound travel company specialising in luxury African safari experiences is seeking an experienced Senior Travel Consultant to create and manage high end travel itineraries to Botswana and Zimbabwe.

This role requires a detail oriented consultant with strong product knowledge of these destinations and the ability to deliver seamless, world class safari journeys for international travellers.

• 3-5 years' experience in inbound luxury safari travel consulting
• Proven experience selling Botswana and Zimbabwe safari destinations
• Strong knowledge of the reservations process (quoting, booking, invoicing, and documentation)
• Experience with Tourplan or a similar reservations system
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines efficiently
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Professional, proactive, and solutions focused

• Manage the full reservations process from quotation to final documentation
• Design and plan luxury safari itineraries tailored to client needs
• Respond promptly to quote and booking requests
• Ensure supplier confirmations are accurate and aligned with Tourplan
• Follow up on provisional bookings and confirm within deadlines
• Communicate and manage special client requests (dietary, honeymoon, room configurations)
• Monitor deposits and payments and assist Accounts with invoice queries
• Maintain high accuracy across quotes, bookings, and documentation
• Remain available as a client contact during travel if required
• Attend supplier presentations and internal training
• Escalate issues that may impact client experience or company reputation
• Assist with other related operational duties when required
