Senior FM Mechanic
Job Description
This position helps provide and maintain Church facilities that support worship, study, prayer, and community activities, with a focus on safety, upkeep, and reliability.
Responsibilities- Services, repairs, or replaces locks, hinges, tile work, wall coverings, small paint jobs, motors, engines, and ground care equipment.
- Ensure safety during work, including reporting hazards inside and outside the buildings.
- Attend meetings when assigned by Manager and participate in training sessions to upgrade technical skills.
- Establish and follow preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, etc. to ensure warranty compliance and extend equipment life.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be in possession of a Temple Recommend and/or be worthy to have one.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Completed trade school or an apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing trades.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the trades listed above.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general handyman/maintenance work.
- Must be honest and reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbal, with priesthood leaders, contractors and vendors.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs to perform maintenance functions.
- Must be physically able to operate equipment and tools to make repairs and use industrial cleaning chemicals and products.
