Job Description

Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking

Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, 30 Baker Street

To perform the identification, development, implementation and maintenance of credit risk strategies which are aimed at enabling sustainable growth of the dedicated book. In-depth analysis to optimise new business performance, policy rules, score cut-offs, affordability assessments and credit limits to drive improvements that directly impact core business metrics such as risk appetite and profitability.Deliver ad-hoc, indepth analyses and business intelligence reports (BI) to support business decisions and drive changes needed to maintain risk appetite levels, helping guide the evolution of performance monitoring.Initiate actionable insights, collaborate with team members and execute strategies efficiently and effectively.Assessment and optimization of end-to-end Lending application process, aiming to improve and deliver on positive customer experience and addressing customer need.

Qualifications

  • Completed Matric
  • A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematical Statistics or Finance


Experience

  • 3-4years
  • The role requires experience in a credit risk or related analytical environment, where credit risk experience in Originations and/or account scorecard monitoring, account management and collections would be advantageous.

  • Experience in retail credit risk management
  • Familiarity with credit scoring models
  • Proficient in statistical software packages such as SAS (preferred), Python and R.
  • Data sourcing, development of end-to-end report production
  • Strong excel skills and application knowledge (pivot tables, advanced functions, VBA desirable)
