We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Process Manager / Business Analyst (Kronos/UKG) to lead the redesign of Retail Workforce Management (WFM) processes for a major retail environment.

This initiative requires the creation of new retail-specific workforce management process designs rather than reusing distribution centre models, due to the unique complexities in retail forecasting, scheduling rules, task/workload drivers, leave structures, time capture, and pay rules.

The successful candidate will define future-state operating processes and controls that can be configured into an enterprise WFM platform (UKG) and successfully adopted across retail stores.

Key Responsibilities Business Process Design
  • Develop end-to-end As-Is and To-Be process maps for Retail Workforce Management using BPMN or equivalent methodologies
  • Design practical future-state operating models including roles, responsibilities, RACI frameworks, approvals, and exception management
  • Establish process controls, audit checkpoints, and compliance mechanisms
Requirements Management
  • Create clear business rules and detailed requirements documentation for:
    • Scheduling
    • Time and Attendance
    • Leave Management
    • Pay Rules
  • Translate operational business requirements into configuration-ready functional specifications
  • Support testing preparation and validation activities
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate workshops with:
    • Store Operations
    • HR
    • Payroll
    • Workforce Planning teams
    • Operational stakeholders
  • Gather current operational realities and align future process designs to business needs
  • Drive standardisation and decision-making across multiple business units
Process Governance & Risk Management
  • Identify operational and process risks that may impact payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Design mitigations and control frameworks to reduce operational and compliance risk
  • Support change impact assessment and rollout readiness planning
Collaboration with Technology Teams
  • Partner with IT teams, project teams, and vendors to align business processes with UKG platform capabilities
  • Ensure process design supports enterprise WFM system configuration and implementation
Requirements Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)
  • 8+ years' experience in Business Process Management, Operating Model Design, or Senior Business Analysis
  • Deep knowledge of Workforce Management (WFM), including:
    • Forecasting models
    • Scheduling frameworks
    • Shift design
    • Time and attendance
    • Leave management
    • Payroll rules
    • Exception handling
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in process standardisation and optimisation
  • Strong business process modelling skills (BPMN or equivalent)
Advantageous (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with UKG / Kronos Workforce Central implementations
  • Experience with enterprise WFM suites
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience
