The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our consulting team on a permanent basis.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys working closely with clients, and takes pride in translating ambiguous business challenges into well designed, actionable solutions. You will operate in an advisory capacity, partnering with stakeholders to understand their broader objectives and helping shape solutions where not all the answers are immediately clear.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Business Analyst at Open Box, you will:

  • Partner with clients in an advisory capacity, building trusted relationships and engaging effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Facilitate and lead client workshops to elicit business requirements, use cases, and success criteria
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, structured artefacts including business cases, product backlogs, and user stories
  • Contribute to solution design across a range of initiatives - from off the shelf system selection and implementation to the design of bespoke software solutions
  • Scope projects and contribute to commercial activities including estimation and quoting
  • Support delivery using Agile methodologies (including SCRUM), ensuring alignment between business intent and technical execution
  • Lead cross functional teams and third party vendors to deliver initiatives aligned to agreed objectives, timelines, and budgets
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to support successful delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, budgets, deliverables, and measures of success
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, change management, and training activities to maximise adoption and minimise disruption
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management where applicable
  • Mentor and support more junior team members, contributing to capability development within the Business Analysis and Product Ownership practice
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and industry insights to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Contribute to internal initiatives that support the growth and maturity of the consulting practice

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A software development-oriented degree
  • 8+ years' experience in a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner role
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering custom software solutions using Agile methodologies
  • Experience working directly with external clients in a consulting environment
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative, fit for purpose solutions
  • Proven ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and operate confidently in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with off the shelf system selection and/or implementation is advantageous
