Senior Accountant - Project Finance & Strategic Reporting

A well-established organisation within the property and built environment sector is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the full financial and accounting function across multiple projects and operational entities.

This role requires a commercially astute finance professional with strong reporting capabilities, project costing experience, and the ability to support strategic business decision-making in a fast-paced development and construction environment.

• BCom Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 10 years' accounting experience within por related environments
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance
• Proven ability to manage accounts up to annual financial statements
• Strong knowledge of VAT, taxation, SARS regulations, and IFRS
• Experience with project accounting, construction costing, and cash flow management
• ERP systems experience, including Sage or Pastel

• Manage the full finance and accounting function
• Prepare management accounts, annual financial statements, and board reports
• Monitor project costing, budgets, profitability, and working capital
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and governance requirements
• Manage reconciliations, audits, fixed assets, and financial controls
• Support strategic planning, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives
• Mentor and oversee junior finance staff
