Senior Accountant

Our client is launching an outsources accounting services team in South Africa, servicing US based clients and is looking for experienced Senior Accountants to join them! This client plans to significantly expand this offshore team in South Africa, offering the opportunity to get into something exciting in the early stages! This role calls for good levels of confidence, being able to articulate well with international clients and international team members. As you'll be forming part of the core team, we are looking for committed, client-centric, dynamic team players who are comfortable working remotely and being part of something with great growth potential.

• Opportunity to support a high impact month end close function
• Work closely with an experienced US based accounting team
• Contribute to improving financial processes, controls, and efficiency
• Exposure to full financial statement reviews and cross functional collaboration

• Preparing and reviewing high quality balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring reconciliations align seamlessly with financial statements
• Working with a full set of financials to identify inconsistencies or irregularities
• Collaborating daily with the US accounting team for reviews and issue resolution
• Identifying inefficiencies in the month end close process
• Challenging unusual balances and recommending workflow and control enhancements
