Sector Head: Consumer

As Head of Consumer Sector, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of our consumer asset finance portfolio. You will define and execute the consumer growth strategy, build high-performing teams, strengthen distribution partnerships, and ensure sustainable profitability while maintaining strong risk and credit discipline. This role offers the opportunity to materially influence the direction of a respected, established financial services brand with the agility to innovate and scale.

• Own and drive the consumer asset finance strategy, aligned to group objectives
• Deliver sustainable portfolio growth, profitability, and return on equity
• Lead, mentor, and develop sales, credit, and operational retail teams
• Expand and optimise supplier, OEM, and partner distribution channels
• Oversee credit quality, risk management, and compliance within delegated mandates
• Align closely with other Group functions
• Use data and market insights to refine pricing, product design, and customer propositions
• Represent Merchant West Asset Finance with key partners and stakeholders
