To ensure that product is moved from the grower to the client according to standard procedures and protocols, whilst maintaining ongoing communication with role players.

Key Performance Outputs
  • Coordinate end-to-end operations - from container bookings and loading instructions to on-time deliveries.
  • Liaise with load points, freight forwarders, customers, and destination agents to ensure seamless export processes.
  • Prepare and manage all sea-freight documentation, including shipping instructions, invoices, and export paperwork.
  • Track vessel movements and ensure accurate communication of ETDs, ATDs, ETAs, and ATAs.
  • Monitor and follow up on deliveries, proof of deliveries, and payment releases.
  • Source transport quotes, arrange logistics from depots, and secure the best transport rates.
  • Build strong relationships with service providers and internal teams to optimise operations.
  • Support pre-season planning and assist with general logistics tasks during the quieter periods.
Requirements Education / Qualification
  • Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric.
  • Suitable tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the fruit industry, with a specific focus on Sea freight.
