For our location in Gqeberha, South Africa, we have an immediate opening for a SCM Administrator. Reporting directly to the SCM Buyer, you are an integral part of the related team, providing guidance in all local administration. The successful candidate is a problem-solver who will work closely with the SCM Buyer and local Management Team to further improve the business.

Tasks:
  • Expedite orders - Run the open orders report from SAP, cross-check against the freight tracking sheet in Excel, and follow up with suppliers (local and foreign) to ensure shipments are on schedule and updated.
  • Prepare and send Clearing Instructions to freight forwarders.
  • Request APNs on the SARS website as required.
  • Compile freight document packs, share them with DG Capital and file on Citrix for Finance.
  • Request Certifiates of Conformity (COCs) from suppliers when needed.
  • Populate the Goods-in-Transit list received from JAS with item codes, quantities and delivery points.
  • Provide support with any ad-hoc SCM administrative tasks.
  • Run daily stock reports from SAP first thing every morning and distribute as required.
  • Preparation of AIS claim
Required qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Strong proficiency in Mircrosoft Excel (formulas, tracking sheets, VLOOKUP, filters)
  • Good working knowledge of SAP (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly)
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Abilty to work independently after 13:00 while following clear instructions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Certificate or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or Business Administration
  • Previous experience in an import/export or manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of South African customs processes (SARS, APNs, clearing)
