Job Description

The Sampling Inspector is responsible for accurate collection, handling, and verification of mineral samples to ensure compliance with quality and reporting standards across mining operations.

Reporting To

Site Supervisor / Quality Control Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on site sampling of ores and minerals in line with industry standards
  • Ensure proper sample preparation, labeling, and chain of custody control
  • Monitor sampling processes to minimize contamination and material loss
  • Coordinate with laboratory teams for testing and analysis
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare technical reports
Education & Qualification
  • Diploma or Degree in Mining, Geology, Mechanical, or related technical field
Experience
  • 5-10 years in mining or mineral sampling operations
  • Experience in Africa or similar mining environments preferred
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of sampling techniques and QA/QC procedures
  • Familiarity with mineral inspection standards and reporting systems
  • Basic understanding of laboratory testing processes
