This role supports the Store Manager in leading the team to achieve and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals helping position PUMA as the Fastest Sports Brand in the world.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Achieve or exceed sales, KPIs & profitability targets

Analyse store performance (CR, UPT, ATV) and lead action plans

Manage payroll & scheduling to balance profitability and service excellence

Sales Floor Leadership

Spend 90% of your time on the sales floor

Lead by example through active selling & coaching

Drive productivity through performance conversations & recognition

Team Development

Support recruitment & prevent staffing shortages

Train, develop & manage high-performing team members

Support performance appraisals with daily observation & feedback

Operations & Compliance

Oversee inventory, shrinkage & physical counts

Ensure POS accuracy & compliance with Retail policies

Maintain a safe, compliant working environment

Step in as Store Manager when required

  • Diploma in Retail Business Management or related qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' retail experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven leadership experience at Assistant Manager level (or similar) within a high-volume retail environment (apparel/footwear advantageous)
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven KPI and payroll management capability
  • Strong operational expertise, including inventory and stock management
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong shop-floor presence
  • Ability to analyse complex challenges and implement practical solutions
  • Confident communicator able to engage teams and present to groups
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Internet applications
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends and retail trading hours
