About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Financial Administrator / Assistant to support our finance department. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of accounting principles and financial systems, demonstrating the ability to manage complex workflows independently. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller and Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring operational efficiency. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a results-driven environment and requires minimal supervision to deliver high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities- Data Management: Overseeing and updating client and internal information with high accuracy.
- Accounting Services: Performing day-to-day accounting tasks to support the broader finance team.
- Compliance & Tax: Managing statutory tax compliance and SARS administration.
- Accounts Management: Full-function management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Reconciliations: Ensuring ledger accuracy through meticulous financial reconciliations.
- Audit & Controls: Assisting with audit preparation and maintaining rigorous internal financial controls.
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) is essential; a relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting is highly advantageous.
- Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
- Proficiency in Sage Pastel is mandatory.
- Strong competency in financial systems and relevant legislation.
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office Suite, specifically Excel).
- Language: Full professional proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
- Soft Skills: Exceptionally organized, self-sufficient, and disciplined.
