Dart River Adventures is seeking a Funyak Supervisor / Kaiārahi - a natural leader who thrives in the outdoors, loves working with people, and is passionate about delivering unforgettable adventures on the Dart River.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading and developing a talented team of Funyak Guides
  • Coordinating safe, smooth, and efficient on river operations
  • Making key decisions about weather, river conditions, and safety
  • Role modelling Ngāi Tahu values and fostering a strong team culture
  • Supporting daily operations, compliance, training, and hazard management
What You'll Bring:
  • Leadership experience in outdoor or adventure tourism
  • Swift water rescue skills and confidence in dynamic river environments
  • Strong communication, judgement, and people development skills
  • Calm, solutions focused approach under pressure
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high quality guest experiences
  • Willingness to grow cultural capability and understanding of Ngāi Tahu values
  • Class 2 licence + P endorsement (or working towards it)
  • Current First Aid certificate
