Quantity Surveyor

Overvue is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 5-15 years' experience to join our growing team. The role involves managing the financial and contractual aspects of high-end residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments across South Africa and Africa. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure strong cost governance, commercial control, and project delivery excellence.

• Preparation of cost estimates and feasibility studies
• Development and management of project budgets
• Procurement and tender documentation
• Tender adjudication and commercial reporting
• Contract administration (JBCC, FIDIC, PROCSA or similar)
• Valuation of progress claims and certification of payments
• Variation analysis and cost control
• Final account negotiation and close-out
• Financial reporting to clients and stakeholders
• Risk identification and mitigation

• BSc in Quantity Surveying
• 5-15 years' relevant experience in construction or development
• Strong knowledge of JBCC and other standard forms of contract
• Proven experience on high-end residential or hospitality projects
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Strong Excel and reporting capability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Professional registration (PrQS) advantageous but not essential
