Job Description

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning for projects.
  • Manage project costs and monitor expenditure against budgets.
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
  • Assess and certify contractor payment claims and variations.
  • Manage contract administration in accordance with relevant forms of contract.
  • Identify and manage project risks and cost deviations.
  • Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with a recognised professional body (e.g. SACQSP).
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in Afrikaans and English.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and cost management.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in measurement, estimating, and cost management software.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Design or other suitable qualifications and experience in the manufacturing or building industry.
  • Minimum 3 5 years' experience as Industrial Designer with suitable Revit designing experience.
  • Experience in the partitioning and drywall or roofing industry.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail imperative.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal in English and Afrikaans.
  • Time management, able to work independently and in a manufacturing environment, achieving deadlines.
  • Computer Literacy; MS Office Suite, Autocad, Revit, Adobe suites, Xero Accounting.
  • Be able to convert Autocad, Revit into CSV files for manufacturing.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Product design and development.
  • CAD modelling and prototyping.
  • Creative and analytical thinking.
  • Technical documentation.
  • Time management
