Department: Technical & Quality
Reports to: Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Compliance Officer to design, manage, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with legislative, ISO, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, maintain and improve the Quality Management System
  • Ensure compliance with Act 36 of 1947, ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000 V6, and AFMA requirements
  • Plan, conduct and manage internal quality audits
  • Identify risks, non-conformances, and improvement opportunities
  • Manage corrective actions, root cause analysis and follow-ups
  • Maintain and control quality documentation and records
  • Analyse quality performance data and report findings
  • Support departments in meeting quality and customer requirements
  • Ensure adherence to Quality management system standards and legal requirements
Requirements
  • Grade 12 (National Diploma or equivalent experience in Quality Management will be advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Management Systems
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, AFMA and relevant legislation
  • Experience in audits, risk management, investigations and root cause analysis
  • Strong analytical, communication, influencing and reporting skills
  • Valid driver's licence, own reliable transport and medical fitness
  • Quality and risk-based thinking
  • Strong attention to detail and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and across teams
