Job Description

South Africa - KwaZulu Natal , eThekwini Central (Durban / Pinetown / Umlazi)

We are currently looking for a Qualified Painter trade-tested Painter to carry out high-quality painting and surface finishing work on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

  • Qualified Painter with a recognised Trade Test Certificate
  • Minimum 3-5 years' post-trade experience as a Painter
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial painting (specify if required)
  • Ability to work at heights and in various environments
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Physically fit and able to meet job demands
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work under pressure
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming
  • Apply paint, varnish, sealers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Read and interpret job instructions, drawings, or specifications
  • Mix and match paints to the required colours and finishes
  • Repair damaged surfaces such as cracks, peeling paint, or plaster defects
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and client expectations
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Comply with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations at all times
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
