QA QC Supervisor (REF: IVP- PRO-2603)

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world class palladium rhodium nickel copper gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state of the art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this "mine of the future". Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction or related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in QA/QC within mining, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in inspection, testing and quality control systems.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications.
• Experience in multi contractor environments advantageous.

• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in QA/QC within mining, construction or infrastructure projects.

• Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all work activities.
• Establish quality control procedures and standards across all contractors.
• Define hold points and approval stages for critical construction activities.
• Ensure all quality processes are clearly communicated and understood.

• Conduct inspections at defined stages of construction to verify compliance.
• Ensure work is inspected and approved before progression to the next phase.
• Verify that all work meets required specifications, tolerances and standards.
• Reject work that does not meet quality requirements and ensure corrective action is taken.

• Identify, record and manage non conformances (NCRs).
• Ensure root causes of defects are identified and addressed.
• Monitor corrective actions and verify resolution of issues.
• Prevent recurrence of quality issues through continuous improvement.

• Provide guidance and training to contractors on quality standards and requirements.
• Ensure contractors understand inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop contractor awareness of quality expectations and consequences of non compliance.
• Support contractors in improving quality of execution.

• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, approvals, NCRs and test results.
• Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate and auditable.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company quality management systems.

• Work closely with Civil, Building and Electrical Supervisors to ensure alignment.
• Ensure quality requirements are incorporated into daily execution activities.
• Participate in coordination meetings to align quality with schedule and delivery.

• Identify risks related to poor workmanship, non compliance and quality failures.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent defects and rework.
• Monitor trends in quality performance and address root causes.
• Escalate risks that may impact project delivery or integrity.

• Identify recurring quality issues and implement improvements to processes.
• Standardise best practices across contractors.
• Drive a culture of quality and accountability within the team.
