Overview

The Purchasing Manager will oversee all procurement operations of the hotel, ensuring that goods and services are acquired at optimal quality, cost, and delivery terms.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full purchasing cycle, including supplier sourcing, quotation management, and market surveys.
  • Oversee daily purchasing operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standard procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure favourable terms and reliable delivery performance.
  • Supervise and guide the purchasing team to ensure accurate and timely procurement processes.
  • Work closely with the Cost Controller to monitor inventory levels and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to optimise pricing and overall value.
  • Manage import and customs procedures for international procurement needs.
  • Work closely with department heads and the finance team to align purchasing activities with operational requirements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPM or CPSM considered an advantage.
  • At least 4 years of purchasing experience, preferably within a large organisation or a 5 star hotel/resort environment.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement standards, market research, contract management, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven management capabilities with experience supervising high performance teams.
  • Ability to work jointly with cross functional departments and maintain strong internal and external partnerships.
