Job Description

Overview

Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing multi-disciplinary consultancy. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering commercial, EV infrastructure, or residential projects and will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This role suits someone who may have progressed through a range of commercial roles, such as Quantity Surveyor, Cost Engineer or Estimator.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a consultancy background, with experience in both pre and post contract Quantity Surveying duties on JCT form of contracts.

You will operate across various project environments, working closely with our in-house planning and project controls teams.

Project Quantity Surveyor, you will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in producing tender documents, cost reports and agreeing final accounts representing the business with authority, confidence, and commercial clarity. You will be expected to clearly articulate cost strategies, risks, and outcomes, building strong relationships through clear communication and a compelling commercial narrative.

You will be self-sufficient, approachable, and a strong team player. While sound commercial principles are essential, out-of-the-box thinking, innovation, and passion are actively encouraged.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Cost Control and Cost Management
  • Proficiency in preparing tender documents & contracts
  • Experience in cost planning and providing accurate financial data
  • Ability to prepare cost estimates and plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration
  • Proficiency in relevant software and quantity surveying tools
  • A Must Requirement: Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Must be registered RICS
Criteria
  • Manage all commercial and quantity surveying aspects projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare and review tender documentation, contracts, and procurement strategies
  • Undertake cost planning, budget monitoring, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assess, manage, and report on variations and change control, including cost and programme impacts
  • Prepare valuations, final accounts, and cost reconciliation reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practice

Remuneration: R per annum
