Our client, a thriving business in the greater St Francis Bay area, is looking to employ an experienced Project Manager to their dynamic team.
Requirements- Minimum of 3 years of project or programme management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong acumen with accounting, business and project managing.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross functional projects.
- Experience in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, or similar sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations, regulatory compliance, or sustainability practices is beneficial.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects, such as implementing new operational systems, restructuring processes, or introducing professional management practices (e.g., ERP systems, compliance frameworks, or supply chain optimization).
- Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage cross functional teams, including internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, HR) and external partners (e.g., consultants, suppliers), to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and proactive problem solving.
- Drive initiatives to professionalise the business, such as establishing formalised governance structures, standardising operating procedures, and enhancing data driven decision making.
- Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic priorities into a prioritised portfolio of projects that support the transition to professional management.
- Ensure projects align with business goals such as improving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing sustainability practices.
- Act as leadership's delegate in their absence, representing the organisation in internal and external meetings, making decisions aligned with strategic objectives, and ensuring continuity of leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations on project prioritisation, resource allocation, and organisational change.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, sales, and logistics teams) and external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory bodies, suppliers, or industry partners).
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication across teams to ensure alignment and buy in for change initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns and ensuring project outcomes meet business needs.
- Supervise and guide the Administrative Assistant, delegating tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and project coordination to ensure efficient project support.
- Foster a collaborative and results driven environment, motivating cross functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects, particularly those related to regulatory compliance.
- Ensure projects adhere to industry standards, legal requirements, and sustainability commitments.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and monitor progress against objectives.
- Prepare and present regular reports to leadership, highlighting project outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
