Contract: 12-Month Renewable Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with proven experience in the insurance industry to support the successful delivery of strategic and operational projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating project activities, ensuring governance compliance, and maintaining clear communication between stakeholders.

This role requires someone who understands insurance operations, regulatory environments, and structured project delivery frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate end-to-end project activities across multiple work streams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Track deliverables, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes and action items.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking of projects.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Monitor project performance and elevate risks where necessary.
  • Assist with change management and communication plans.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting dashboards.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager.
  • Mandatory: Experience within the insurance industry (short-term or long-term insurance).
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working within structured project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments).
  • Exposure to PMO governance frameworks and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Project Management, Finance, or related field).
  • Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification) advantageous.
