Production Supervisor (Agrcultural Feed Mill) (JB4832)

Location: Delmas, Mpumalanga. Salary: R 25 - CTC per month. Employment: Permanent.

We are seeking a dedicated and hands on Production Supervisor to join our team at a leading Agricultural Feed mill based in Delmas. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing production processes, managing plant staff, and ensuring that our feed production meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong leader who is physically fit, detail oriented, and capable of working within a dynamic and fast paced environment. As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing full production shifts, operating and maintaining machinery, and enforcing health and safety procedures. • Degree or Diploma in Agriculture
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Production supervisor in a Feeding Mill
• Experience in working with production software and systems
• Ability to operate heavy machinery, ascend and descend the plant/feed mill, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Proven experience in managing staff, with strong people management skills
• Ability to work on a rotating shift system, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Must have normal colour vision, be in good health without epilepsy, and be comfortable working at heights
• Excellent communication and team management skills
• Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail
• Commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibility for shift production
• Own transport is preferable due to the location and shift hours
• Preferably based near Delmas or willing to relocate with own accommodation arrangements

• Oversee the production of animal feed at the feed mill, ensuring efficiency and quality control
• Manage and operate complex production systems and programs (training will be provided)
• Lead and manage a team of plant workers and casual staff during assigned shifts
• Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of heavy machinery, including forklifts
• Manage full production shifts, including night shifts and weekends, as part of a rotating shift system
• Enforce strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols at the plant
• Supervise the loading and unloading of products
• Report regularly to the Shift Manager regarding production progress and any issues
• Print product labels and ensure proper labelling of feed batches
