Production Manager

We are seeking a hands on and experienced Production Manager to join our manufacturing client's team in Bellville. The successful candidate will be responsible for all activities regarding production.

• Overseeing Milling, Packaging & Mixing operations
• Achieving production and extraction targets
• Minimizing downtime and maximizing plant efficiency
• Leading, training, and performance managing production teams
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and plant safety compliance
• Overseeing maintenance schedules
• Managing production materials and ingredients stock levels
• Driving bran sales to prevent overstock
• Recruitment of sufficient and competent staff in a cost effective manner
• Goal setting and goal management of department

• Proven experience in milling or food production
• Strong leadership and technical ability
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Solid reporting and administrative capability
• High standards of accountability and discipline
• Willingness to work weekend duty every 5 weeks
