Overview

Chemical Manufacturing Company in Cape Town has an opportunity available for a Production Manager who will report to the Operations Director.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria
  • Relevant B. Degree or Diploma in Production Management within a chemical environment
  • Further tertiary qualifications in Business Management and Project Management
  • Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in a Production environment of which at least five (5) years must have been at Management level
  • Proven track record in staff management and control
  • Experienced in project management and plant upgrades
  • Knowledge of LRA and BCEA
  • Exceptional Knowledge of disciplinary procedures and processes
  • Knowledge of ISO standards
  • Experienced in MRP systems, MS Projects and MS Office
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to
  • Responsible for the management, co-ordination, planning and procurement of all materials and execution of the production plan
  • Ensuring that productivity increases and production targets are timeously met
  • Maintaining the minimum stock levels and safety stock at all depots and the effective management of resources
  • Producing quality products, while continuously evaluating, monitoring and streamlining of processes and meeting budgets in a cost-effective manner
Salary

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience (CTC includes Provident Fund & Company Laptop)
