Job Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
  • To manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently, on the POS system.
  • Receiving payments and issuing receipts, gift-wrapping packages, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions.
  • Ensure all sale and refund transactions run smoothly and will help maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Keep track record of speed points and all related weekly checklist.
  • To ensure all House Of Retail policies, rules and procedures are adhered to at POS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage schedules for till operators to align with peak hours and avoid creating long queues.
  • Inform management for any cash overs and under banks and help with investigations.
  • Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
  • Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
  • Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets.
  • Redeem coupons and vouchers.
  • Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
  • Sell add-ons to customers to increase UPT.
  • Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
  • Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
  • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
  • Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.
  • Driving CRM and NPS as a last point for customer contact in store.
  • Sales responsibilities including add on sales i.e Socks, Caps etc at POS to increase UPT.
  • Replenishment of sales floor.
  • Ensure compliance with all audit checks related to POS admin.
  • Ensure trainings are done for cashiers and monthly/quarterly refreshers.
  • Drive excellent customer service, educate consumers about adiclub to ensure consumer interaction and membership sales.
  • Ensure all POS Operators have the necessary stationery to perform their duties.
  • Ensure all admin related to POS is done daily.

  • Customers, Peers, Store Manager and Deputy Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Customer satisfaction oriented.
  • Good investigation skills and problem-solving skills.
Requisite Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales.
