Plumbing Site Supervisor & Support - Midrand

Stand-out opportunity for an aspiring, skilled and motivated Plumbing Site Supervisor within the Sustainable and Renewable Energy and Water Sector. Experience in Hot Water Plumbing is a requirement (at least 2 years). Any electrical experience will be beneficial.

Please note that the position is for the Gauteng but traveling in Southern Africa is a possibility from time to time. The position is primarily responsible for the supervision of plumbing projects such as Heat Pump installations - residential and commercial and will also be utilised for Support on similar installations/sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities might change over a period but the key responsibilities at the start will be:

  • Maintaining of H&S procedures and the administration there-off.
  • Maintaining of job administration.
  • Working with the Project planning and management team - especially in preparing sites with building contractors.
  • Managing sub-contractors on projects.
  • Supervision of plumbing projects, especially Heat Pump jobs
  • Working with the Support team to support clients after installations
  • Quality Assurance on Systems/Installations
REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience in hot water efficiency projects, electrical skills, and experience in the Photovoltaic industry will be beneficial. Please below find a general job description with the key skills requirements:

  • General plumbing experience.
  • Project Supervision experience.
  • Stock management.
  • Supervision experience - working in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail problem solving.
  • Interpret drawings, work orders.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, word).
  • Scholastic education - Grade 12.
  • Plumbing experience, qualified plumber will be highly beneficial.
  • Photovoltaic installations and understanding of systems will be beneficial
  • General electrical experience will be beneficial.
  • Working at Heights will be beneficial
General requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Own transport to client's office in Midrand
  • Languages - English/ Afrikaans
  • Police clearance.
  • Financial wellness clearance.
  • Able to pass a medical
